ConTrak Wins $5 Million in New Condo and Commercial Contracts
Company Managing Seven Central Ohio Projects Valued at $30.8 Million

DUBLIN, Ohio – Over the past few months, ConTrak has won an additional $5 million of business in the commercial and luxury condominium sectors of the construction market. The commercial contractor secured new agreements with Fiori Distinctive Living, Civil & Environmental Consultants, Inc., the Murray Company of St. Louis, and Veterans Memorial Auditorium.

“Our ability to manage such a wide variety of construction for building owners and general contractors has established our reputation for creative problem solving, high-quality buildings and customer satisfaction,” said ConTrak President Michael W. Vasbinder.

Fiori Distinctive Living signed a $3 million contract for construction of Phase I of the Village at Murphy’s Crossing condominium development in Powell. Located at the corner of West Olentangy Street and Murphy’s Parkway, the total development includes 56 upscale condominiums as well as a community center complex with swimming pool. Phase I construction is under way.

ConTrak has begun a $275,000 tenant improvement project for Civil & Environmental Consultants, Inc. to create 11,000 square feet of office and meeting space at 8740 Orion Place.

In another tenant improvement, ConTrak won an $850,000 general works package through the Murray Company to consolidate seven Clear Channel radio stations. This 32,000-square-foot build-out will create sound studios and support offices on the second floor of The Cliffs Building at 2323 West Fifth Ave.

ConTrak won a $250,000 contract to oversee mechanical upgrade of a 10.2 million BTU boiler and associated piping at Veterans Memorial Auditorium, 300 W. Broad Street. In 2000, ConTrak managed the building’s $11 million renovation and construction of a new façade.

ConTrak currently is managing four other projects in central Ohio. The company broke ground in 2002 on The Village of Powell condominiums at the corner of Seldom Seen and Liberty Roads in Powell and is completing Phase I of the $3 million development. The Columbus Metropolitan Housing Authority chose ConTrak as the general contractor for the $9.8 million New Village Homes project now under construction in the Italian Village area. The Katz Interests selected ConTrak to complete the $13 million renovation of the Buggy Works building at 440 West Nationwide Boulevard into luxury loft condominiums.

Earlier this year, the company completed a $2 million addition to Nationwide’s John E. Fisher Training Facility in Lewis Center, the $2.3 million Plain Township Aquatic Center in New Albany, a $1 million addition to the Byers Mazda and Subaru dealerships in Dublin, and a $500,000 structural and exterior renovation of 941 North High Street in the Short North.
