Support of our communities.

ConTrak President Mike Vasbinder believes that giving back to the community is an essential component of conducting business ethically. Our company’s involvement includes:

  • Development board of Olentangy Local Schools
  • Big Brothers/Big Sisters Association of Greater Columbus
  • Upper Arlington Public Schools
  • First Community Church’s Camp Akita

ConTrak has completed a number of building projects for the Big Brothers/Big Sisters including construction of a recreation center at Camp Oty’Okwa and renovation of the organization’s headquarters. By working at cost, ConTrak saved the organization more than $75,000.

ConTrak donated its fee to the Upper Arlington Athletic Boosters when it built a new fitness center for the high school in 1997. By working at cost and requiring subcontractors to work at cost, ConTrak saved the schools more than $250,000.

ConTrak built a community lodge and renovated offices for First Community Church’s Camp Akita at cost and required subcontractors to work at cost. ConTrak began the $4.2 million renovation of Camp Akita in the autumn of 1999 and finished it before camping season 2000. Construction had to be planned around Akita’s summer camp schedule. Despite having to work through the winter months in a remote location, ConTrak completed all work in time for summer camp season.
